About Hanoi Original
Designed in Melbourne, inspired by Hanoi, crafted by hand
Hello lovely — I’m so glad you’re here.
If you’ve found this page, perhaps you’re someone who believes, like I do, that beautiful things should also be meaningful.
Following fascination
I didn’t plan to become an artist.
I just followed what fascinated me.
For four and a half years, I studied Fine Arts — mornings spent drawing the human figure, afternoons with oil paint, ink, sculpture, and illustration. Later, I completed a Master’s in Public Policy. Life moved forward, and I moved with it.
I didn’t become a full-time artist. But I never stopped drawing. And over time, those sketches became something I could carry — not on a wall, but in the folds of a scarf.
Why scarves?
Because they move. Because they soften. Because we choose them — for warmth, for expression, for memory. And in that softness, I see strength — the quiet kind. The kind that wraps around us and carries us forward.
There are many scarves in the world.
But I wanted to create something different. Something exceptional. Exquisite. Thoughtful.
Scarves that combine art, story, and soul — made slowly, to last.
How each scarf begins
Designed in Melbourne. Inspired by Hanoi. Hand-drawn.
Each Hanoi Original silk scarf begins as a drawing — created in my studio in Melbourne, often inspired by childhood memories of my hometown, Hanoi. These hand-drawn illustrations reflect a blend of Vietnamese tradition and Australian calm.
From sketch to scarf, every piece is printed in small batches on premium natural silk or silk-cotton blend. It’s then hand-finished with classic rolled hems — the kind that take time, skill, and a human touch.
This is wearable art — made with care, and meant to be lived in.
What I hope you feel
I hope each scarf feels like a gift — not just from me, but from you to yourself.
Something that says:
I deserve beauty. I deserve softness. I deserve something made with care.
That’s what Hanoi Original is really about.
It’s about feeling something — and carrying it with you, wrapped around your shoulders, close to your heart.
Let’s stay connected
I sincerely hope you love the scarves as much as I love creating them. If you ever have a question or simply want to chat, you can always write to me at:
Thank you for being here. For reading this far. And for choosing beauty that lasts.
With love and light,
